TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – After three days of hands-on training, 24 agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from various government agencies in CALABARZON completed the “Proposal Writing and Training Facilitation Course” held at DA-ATI CALABARZON, from February 27-29, 2024.
In order to trailblaze excellent agricultural and fisheries extension (AFE) services in the region, DA-ATI CALABARZON aims to enhance the writing and facilitation skills of the Coconut Farmer’s Industry Development Program (CFIDP) Training of Trainers graduates who are expected to conduct farmer-level training in their areas of assignment.
The Center underscores that the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver effective training sessions is crucial for the success of its implementation and in attaining the desired results. In the AFE system, one of the basic requirements or basis for securing project funds from grants is a well-written proposal.
Aside from writing proposals, the participants also learned the proper facilitation, training cycles, and other critical tasks. They also presented their outputs and re-entry plans that can be granted with funds under the Center’s AFE Grant System.
DA-ATI CALABARZON officials namely Ms. Maridelle G. Jaurigue, Information Officer III; Ms. Sherylou C. Alfaro, OIC-Asst. Center Director; Ms. Abegail L. Del Rosario, Planning Officer II; Ms. Vira Elyssa L. Jamolin, Training Specialist III; and Ms. Soledad E. Leal, Agriculturist II, served as resource speakers in the said training and suggested improvements to the proposals of participants.
