A Drive to Keep Winning
A Drive to Keep Winning
The most effective way to produce a good value of service at a balanced flow to accomplish a specific output rate is precisely defined in standard work. It divides the task into sections that are ordered, sequenced, and repeatedly followed. While productivity can be raised by process optimization, proficiency can be increased by implementing best practices as well as using efficient technologies.
To guarantee that the Center provides its clients with top-notch trainings and extension services, and to continuously enhance its quality management scheme, the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center CALABARZON (DA-ATI CALABARZON) undertakes ISO 9001:2015 3rd Party Surveillance Audit. An independent, non-governmental, international body called the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) creates standards to warrant the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of goods, services, and systems. The specifications for a Quality Management System (QMS) are laid out in the global standard known as ISO 9001. This QMS promotes the push for excellence in public service by ensuring consistency of goods and services through high-quality procedures.
Last March 1, 2023, DA-ATI CALABARZON, under the supervision of Training Center Superintendent II, Dr. Rolando V. Maningas, passed the 3rd party Surveillance Audit which was remotely conducted by TÜV SÜD. The Center's ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for the QMS was granted in December 2018.
The ISO audit was conducted by Auditor Adorable Aguila, who assessed the Office of the Center Director and focused on the details of two (2) Management Reviews that were undertaken last 2022. On the other hand, the Career Development and Management Services Section (CDMSS) headed by Chief Vira Elyssa L. Jamolin, and the Partnerships and Accreditation Section (PAS) headed by OIC-Chief Abegail L. Del Rosario, were inspected by Auditor Xavier Lance Dy. Through random selection, tracking, interviews, and paper trail, the auditors declared that the procedures of providing training and extension services as well as the over-all operations of the Center had zero (0) findings.
Moreover, in order to maintain the effectiveness of DA-ATI CALABARZON in producing outstanding services, Dr. Maningas ensured that in addition to the independent certification body, the Center also checks, balances, and inspects its own operations through its Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team, ensuring that its QMS complies with all the requirements.
During the activity's closing program, Dr. Maningas congratulated all the employees for their continuous commitment and dedication. He exhorted everyone to keep on with this process as it constitutes excellence and the Center's transparency to all its stakeholders and clients.
Through these accomplishments, DA-ATI CALABARZON is still constantly looking for ways to improve, considering that the Center has been using the standard operating procedures for four (4) years already. By utilizing the results of this evaluation, Dr. Maningas hopes to continuously enhance, sustain, and integrate its QMS, to provide the clientele with high-quality services, and at the same time properly satisfy both internal and external requirements in support to the goal and strategic direction of the Center.
DA-ATI CALABARZON is gearing up for recertification, which is scheduled by the 3rd quarter of this year and Dr. Maningas anticipates that the Center will have a productive year as it continues to adhere to the ISO standards.
