
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — From February 3-7, 2025, the DA-Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON will celebrate the Institute’s 38th Anniversary through the conduct of community outreach program, launching of its extension project, seminar, and more—dedicated to its clientele.
On February 3, the Center will kick off the celebration with an opening ceremony. Along with this, the DA-ATI CALABARZON is set to launch its project AGRI360 Website and will also recognize the exemplary performance of the Center’s staff.
AGRI360 is an extension initiative that aims to promote all its accredited and partner farms in the region to have boosted revenue by providing a 360-degree virtual tour of the farms, with information on the technologies employed, services offered, and facilities.
On February 4, the highlights will be the opening of Southern Tagalog Agri-Aqua Resources Retail Mart (STAARR Mart) where visitors can buy a wide range of locally produced products, as well as the conduct of a seminar on common pests for urban and peri-urban crops and their management.
Moreover, the Trece Martires City National High School - Rural Farm School in Brgy. San Agustin will be launched as DA-ATI CALABARZON’s one of the newest Learning Sites for Agriculture I (LSAs).
LSAs are farms that practice applicable agricultural technologies, employing doable farming strategies and operating successfully, thus, worthy of emulation.
On February 6, the Center will also launch Fredith Integrated Farm as Coconut-based LSA. The farm is located in Brgy. San Isidro, Luisiana, Laguna.
Concluding the week-long celebration, the DA-ATI CALABARZON will visit the Cottolengo Filipino, Inc. in Rodriguez Rizal and Virlanie Foundation, Inc. in Dasmarinas City for its community outreach program and orphanage donation drive.
Themed “Youth in Agriculture: Cultivating Innovations through Partnerships,” this year’s celebration will highlight ATI’s commitment to empowering the younger generation and advancing the agricultural sector through collaborative efforts.
For 38 strong years, the Institute has remained steadfast amidst the challenges of times and committed to delivering quality and excellent extension services for the agri-fishery sector.
