LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The DA-Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON conducted the “Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP) Accomplishment Mapping and Planning Workshop” on July 30-31, 2024, at Ouan’s The Farm Resort in this city.
The activity was designed to assess and evaluate the performance of each implementing agency for conducted CFIDP activities, identify the best practices as well as the challenges and problems encountered that can be used as opportunities for improvement in providing better services to stakeholders, and formulate a synchronized plan for the CFIDP activities for the next years.
Fifteen representatives (15) from different Implementing Agencies (IAs), as well as 15 staff from Provincial Agriculturists and Veterinary Offices in the region, participated in the two-day assessment and planning workshop.
In her welcome remarks, Ms. Sherylou C. Alfaro, Assistant Center Director of DA-ATI CALABARZON, expressed that the event shall serve as an avenue to form convergences for the harmonious implementation of said target activities.
Also present in the workshop was Mr. Bibiano C. Concibido Jr., Regional Manager III of the Philippine Coconut Authority Region (PCA) IV, who gave a preview of the agency's upcoming events in celebration of the National Coconut Month.
With the vision of DA-ATI CALABARZON to have standardized Agricultural and Fisheries Extension (AFE) services, the consistent provision of quality interventions is made more effective and efficient through harmonized extension interventions within the region.
Furthermore, harmonization of programs is one of the key mechanisms in integrating plans and systems for a comprehensive and inclusive planning process—hence the activity was held.
Meanwhile, the activity was spearheaded by the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) of DA-ATI CALABARZON.
