Gearing Up for 2025: Reinforcing Strategies in Attaining Organizational Goals
Planning is an essential component to the success of any organization as it assures that the strategies are aligned in attaining the organization’s objectives. This process aids decision-making and encourages management to look into the future and make decisions based on several alternative plans of action.
Subsequently, operational planning is geared towards creating actionable steps to meet the goals in the strategic plan. Its benefits include helping leadership define responsibilities, daily tasks, and activities in detail.

For the past years, the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) CALABARZON has been recognized as one of the top-performing Regional Training Centers across the network. Maintaining this status requires careful planning, execution, and adjustment of various strategies to achieve remarkable physical and financial accomplishments.
The DA-ATI CALABARZON, under the leadership of Center Director Dr. Rolando V. Maningas, consistently harmonizes its plans in order to outline the strategies to be adapted to ensure the smooth implementation of activities for the whole fiscal year.
On January 15-17, 2025, the DA-ATI CALABARZON, through the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit (PMEU), convened its key personnel for the “FY 2025 Operational Planning: Reinforcing Strategies in Attaining Organizational Goals” at Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna.

As part of the planning workshop, the concerned focal persons and administrative personnel presented their accomplishments from various programs and services of the Center for the Second Semester of 2024. This enabled the DA-ATI CALABARZON to look back and reflect on what had transpired in the previous year, particularly the successes, best practices, and areas to improve—to be considered in 2025.
At the end of the workshop, the Center was able to produce pertinent outputs, including the performance assessments of FY 2024 Second Semester activities, specific details of the target activities for FY 2025 outlined in the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP), and accomplished physical and financial plans. With these outputs, the Center is optimistic that all of its deliverables have clear directions, will bring about desirable results, and will immensely contribute to empowering its clientele in the agri-fishery extension.

CD Maningas expressed his appreciation of the activity and considered it a success. He also thanked the staff for their cooperation and encouraged them to take on the next step—the implementation phase.
Coming out of the ‘hiatus’ phase it had in 2024, the DA-ATI CALABARZON, under the supervision of CD Maningas, is more than geared up to seamlessly ace 2025 with strengthened and well-thought-out plans, as well as revitalized enthusiasm, that are keys to unlocking more milestones.
