The Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) is a 21-month internship program for the youth that aims to fully imbibe the "life of a farmer" and organic practices. It comprises a nine-month schooling and on-site training in farms, and a one-year hands-on approach and implementation of the proposed organic enterprise.

I. Farm Partners
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Farm operator/owner of certified organic or chemical-free farm, preferably LSA certified farm
2. Must be in operation for at least one (1) year
3. Has farm activities within the value chain either production, value adding, processing, or marketing
4. Has basic farm tools, equipment or facilities needed for its operation
5. Has accommodation facility for at least two (2) trainees
6. Can provide food for the interns during the 9-month intensive training program
7. Has an internship program plan from March to November within a year
8. With good community standing and has no proven derogatory record
9. Farm area is not part of conflict zones
Documentary Requirements
1. Application Form (Form 1)
2. Internship program plan from March to November (Form 3)
3. Notarized affidavit as owner/operator of an organic and/or chemical-free farm and/or LSA Certification
4. Farm journal; Financial Statement for the previous years
5. Farm layout; Photos of farm and its facilities including accommodation areas
6. List of Resource Persons and Biodata of Trainers
7. At least two (2) recommendation letter from a community leader (Form 6)
(e.g. barangay captain, parish priest, school principal, civil society organization, farmers’ cooperative or association) of good community standing and has no proven derogatory record
8. 2x2 Soft Copy Picture
II. Trainees
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Natural born Filipino citizen Male or Female Ages 18 to 35 years old at the time of application;
2. Interested to enter the agriculture industry, specifically the practice of organic agriculture;
3. Willingness to undertake 21-month internship and hands-on practice contract;
4. Physically and Mentally Fit;
5. Have no overdue obligations from the DA or ATI at the time of application.
6. Has good community standing and/or good moral character certified by LGU.
Documentary Requirement
1. Application Form
2. Simplified Enterprise Plan
3. Birth Certificate (from PSA) and Clear scanned copy of any valid government issued ID.
4. Certification showing bona fide residency with good community standing in the area from the Barangay Chairman
5. Two (2) Letter of Recommendation from a community leader (e.g. barangay captain, parish priest, school principal, civil society organization, farmers’ cooperative or association) of good community standing and has no proven derogatory record
6. Notarized Sworn Statement as proof of willingness and commitment to undertake organic agriculture-related activities/enterprise after the training
7. Medical certificate indicating “Fit to work” and no underlying health condition such as hypertension, heart problem, asthma, or history of psychological disorder
Other requirements:
8. Certificate of No Overdue Obligations from ATI (Form No. 8)
9. Training certificates on agriculture and non- agriculture courses certified true copy, if available
10. Certification from the last school attended on the latest educational level attained, if applicable
11. 2x2 Soft Copy Picture with White Background
