The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) conducted the Technical Briefing on Urban Gardening, in Brgy. Cobol, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, on March 14, 2025, in support to its on-going commitment to promote sustainable urban agriculture among urban communities in the region.
The activity gathered 31 urban dwellers and community leaders, providing them with essential information, knowledge and basic skills in modern gardening techniques, especially in practical methods of growing food in limited spaces.
ATI-RTC I staff served as resource persons sharing their expertise in container and vertical gardening, soil and organic fertilizers preparation, and pest management, engaging the participants through interactive discussions, knowledge-sharing and hands-on demonstrations.
The technical briefing is among the ATI-RTC I’s continuing efforts in enhancing food security, environmental sustainability, and community resilience.
