DA-ATI-RTC 1 Hosts Benchmarking for Agricultural Extension Workers

The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 (DA-ATI-RTC 1) hosted a benchmarking activity on March 26, 2025, welcoming delegates from the Field Agricultural Extension Services (FAES)-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

Dr. Jayvee Bryan G. Carillo, Center Director, expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming the delegates, emphasizing the significant opportunity for mutual learning and the exchange of best practices in agricultural and fishery operations.

The activity focused on sharing of ideas and observing exemplary agricultural and fishery farm operational practices, as well as the development of leadership competencies among agricultural and fishery extension workers. During the benchmarking activity, participants visited accredited Private Extension Service Providers— Reotutar Institute of Science, Arts, and Trades, Incorporation (RISATI) in Villasis, Pangasinan, and Fishtech Philippine Incorporated in Dagupan City, Pangasinan— where they engaged in an avenue for knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.

Mr. Marlon Tobias, Provincial Agriculturist, conveyed his gratitude to ATI-RTC 1 for the warm welcome and the valuable educational opportunity provided to the farmers and extension workers, which he deemed essential for enhancing their professional and individual capabilities.

FAES and ATI-RTC 1 are confident that equipping farmers and extension workers with enhanced knowledge and skills will empower them to effectively guide and support agricultural and fisheries communities.
