The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center I (DA-ATI-RTC I) concluded the first phase of the Training on Digital Farmers Program 101 & 102 Farm Learn on July 10-12, 2024, at the LG Agri-Tourism TVET & Assessment Center, Inc. in Rosario, La Union.
The training empowered 30 farmer-youths with essential digital skills tailored for modern agriculture.
The participants were equipped with proficiency in utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools, social media platforms, climate and weather applications, and specialized agricultural software. The program aimed to enhance their capabilities in optimizing farm management practices and adapting to technological advancements in agriculture.
As part of their continued learning journey, these skilled individuals are set to embark on the DFP 103 Farm Learn Phase 2 scheduled on July 17-19, 2024. This phase will focus on practical applications, including a fertilizer demonstration utilizing drone technology across identified rice fields in Agoo, La Union.
