A key highlight of the training was the hands-on practicum at Jadeco Farm, Bugallon, Pangasinan, led by resource speaker, Dr. David T. Santos, CEO of Ka Tribu ug ang Lasang Foundation, with the assistance of LGU-Bugallon through the Municipal Agriculture Office. This activity includes coffee nursery establishment, pruning, and trimming coffee plants.
As complementary to the training, after-training support such as coffee seedlings and basic tools were provided to the participants.
The training was attended by 25 members of the BATIRI-Tribal Farmers Irrigators Association, who were recipients of 10,000 coconut seedlings from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for the establishment of coconut demonstration farm with a five-day capability building activity on coconut production and management conducted in May by ATI-RTC 1.
The action plans developed by the association mark their commitment to developing Bani as coconut and coffee producing municipality.
