The Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 1 (DA-ATI-RTC 1) conducted the Training of Trainers on Digital Agriculture Course for RCEF on April 24-26, 2024 at RISATI, Brgy. Lipay East, Villasis, Pangasinan.
Thirty (30) representatives from the different Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) and Farm schools in Region 1 completed the three-day training. The training aimed to train farm school representatives/trainers in implementing the Digital Agriculture Course.
Among the highlights of the training were lecture-discussions, and hands-on demonstrations. The demo back session or micro-teaching activity was also done to assess the knowledge gained by the participants and their preparedness in delivering the topics.
Ms. Junelyn S. Repancol, Ms. Raecielle Joyce O. Calaoagan, and Mr. Medwin Eazer Capinpin served as the Resource Speakers of the training.
"With the knowledge that I gained in this training, I will be able to help a lot of farmers. Not just in decreasing their expenditure and losses or increasing their farm produce yield and profit, but it will also make their farming easier and time manageable. Giving our Filipino farmers more time to spend with their families and loved ones" expressed by Mr. Diosdado M. Baxa Jr from Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
