In addition to the 27 members of the farmers’ association, five (5) agricultural extension workers from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturists and the Municipal Agriculture Office of Bani, Pangasinan also participated in the training as they are expected to lead and take part in the technology demonstration.

The training intervention underscores a collaborative effort to enhance agricultural practices, focusing on sustainable coconut farming methods. By providing hands-on training and essential resources, the program aims to empower local farmers and promote the growth of the coconut industry in the region. Key components of the training included practical sessions on coconut planting, layouting, pest and disease identification, and nursery establishment.

The Batiri Tribal FIA received 10,750 coconut seedlings from PCA for a demonstration and plantation project.
