The Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) is a partnership between the Department of Agriculture, and Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC). It aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers to become farmer leaders and empowered agricultural entrepreneurs.
Anent to this, the DA-Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) is looking for qualified and deserving interns for the YFFLTPJ Batch 2024!
Basic Qualifications:
- Young Filipino farmers, preferably a member of 4-H Club in the Philippines who is an out-of-school youth (OSY), recipients of DA-AMAS Young Farmers Challenge Fund, and a graduate of agri-related courses (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; BS in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering; BS in Fisheries; BS in Agribusiness Management; Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Economics; among others);
- Male or female, between 20 to 30 years old, single, and has no live-in partner or child at the time of application;
- High school graduate or senior high school undergraduate, college graduate, and/or technical or vocational graduate;
- Has existing agricultural land, regardless of size and status of ownership:
- Has good community standing and/or good moral character certified by Barangay Chairman;
- Must have at least one (1) year of accumulated farming experience (after high school graduation) at the time of application;
- Not employed in any job for at least one year at the time of application, certified by the LGU;
- Has good communication skills and good English proficiency certified by the LGU;
- Not related to any ATI employee by affinity or consanguinity, for up to 3rd degree certified by the RSC; Note: The word "relative" under the Local Government Code refers to those related within the third degree of consanguinity (relationship by blood) or affinity (relationship by marriage) such as spouse (1st degree) , children (1st degree), sibling (2nd degree), nephew and niece (3rd degree), and uncle and aunt (3rd degree);
- Can be a son or daughter of a farmer or fisher, or a cooperator of the ATI certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), or Farm School;
- Have no overdue obligations from the DA or ATI at the time of application;
- Not a recipient of ATI's overseas travel related Internship;
- Willing to learn new technologies and foreign languages certified by the ATI-RTC;
- Must be fully vaccinated (with 3 doses) against COVID-19 at the time of application, including booster shots;
- A certificate from the doctor of no tattoos and/or piercing in any part of the body, ear piercing is allowed for females only; and Medical Certificate with remarks Fit to Work, and
- Passed the following medical examination, to be done in diagnostic clinics, hospitals, or laboratories accredited by the Department of Health:
a) Certificate of Good Oral Health from the Dentist
b) Chest x-ray for tuberculosis
c) Stool examination for parasites
d) Serological test for syphilis
e) Certification of Hansen's disease test and Measles and Rubella (MMR) antibody (can be
submitted during Regional or National Medical Examination)
f) Skin examination for Hepatitis B and HIV or AIDS
g) Electrocardiogram (ECG) test
h) Drug tests
i) Electroencephalogram (EEG) test
j) Neuro-psychological tests and certification of no history of any mental illness certified by the
medical expert

- Certificate of Commitment to Learn Foreign Language and New Farming Technologies (Form No. 7)
- Regional Selection Committee's Endorsement (Form No. 8)
- Letter of Recommendation from the Center Director of ATI-RTC (Form No. 9)
- Narrative report during the field validation;
- Certified true copy of Training Certificates on agriculture and non-agriculture courses
- Certification from the last school attended on the latest educational level attained
- Original National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Police Clearance with one year validity
- Original PSA Birth Certificate and Certificate of live birth from the Local Civil Registrar Office
- Tax Identification Number (TIN) or ID
- Original Philippine Passport valid for at least three (3) years at the time of application
- International Certificate of Vaccination from the Bureau of Quarantine or Digital Vaccination Certificates through VaxcertPH with 3 doses against COVID-19 at the time of application, including booster shoots

Schedule of written examination will be on October 23, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at ATI-RTC XI, Datu Abdul Dadia, Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
