To provide comprehensive knowledge and skills in the successful implementation and management of agro-enterprise clusters, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) collaborated with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) MIMAROPA to conduct the Training on Social Preparation for Rice Cluster at Hotel Marinduque, Brgy. Isok I, Boac, Marinduque on November 12-14, 2024.
The three-day training engaged participants in lectures and simulation activities, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and principles of the Agro-Enterprise Clustering Approach (AECA) and be briefed about the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2). Mr. Ray Neptune C. Quindong, EDMS, and Mr. Ace Villamer, Project Development Officer, both from DA-RFO, served as the resource persons.
Aside from discussions, the participants also had their role-play activities and prepared a Cluster Development Plan (CDP), which were both assessed and critiqued by the resource speakers. They also participated in value-adding activities, which helped them learn how to earn.
