To assess the year’s program implementation, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA conducted the Year-end Assessment and Planning Workshop for Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) virtually via Google Meet on October 29-31, 2024.
The activity was held in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) to enable the Implementing Agencies (IAs) to present their accomplishments for the whole year and address the issues that arose during the program implementation. It also served as an avenue for developing and revisiting plans for the years 2025-2026 onwards.
Aside from the IAs, each PCA provincial office also presented their office’s accomplishments, followed by the regional representative, Ms. Joan Su-ay, Project Development Officer III of PCA Region III, who covered the data at the regional level.
The participants agreed that this year-end assessment should be conducted regularly, as it allows them to harmonize their activities, avoid scheduling conflicts, and explore potential collaborations among concerned agencies to maximize resources. Additionally, a format for reporting accomplishments will be provided to the IAs for uniformity.
As part of the continuous effort to improve farming practices and the livelihood of coconut farmers, the participants also agreed that information dissemination about the CFIDP through training should continue.
