To enhance the Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) interns’ entrepreneurial skills and farm business management skills, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA conducted the Training on Drafting of Business Enterprise at Gabutero Organic Farm (GOF), Brgy. Labonan, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro on September 10-12, 2024.

The training provided valuable insights for the participants to help them gain a deeper understanding of the concept of Farm Business School (FBS) and its role in promoting sustainable farm enterprises, as well as fundamental financial literacy concepts such as budgeting, cash flow management, investment strategies, and making informed financial decisions.

As their output, the participants drafted and presented their business enterprise proposals, receiving constructive feedback and recommendations from the panel, which consisted of Mr. Nelson B. Gabutero, LSA cooperator/farm owner of GOF, Engr. Karen T. Vicente, Agriculturist I/OA Focal Person, and Ms. Roseanne D. Nilo, Media Production Specialist II/OA Assistant Focal Person.

A total of 18 interns participated in the activity and expressed their gratitude for its implementation, viewing it as a way to improve their knowledge and skills so they can effectively manage their future farm business enterprises.
