SAN JOSE, Occidental Mindoro – Thirty (30) extension workers and farmer leaders graduated from the recently concluded "Training of Trainers (TOT) on Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice and Seeds, and Farm Mechanization" held at Seasons Hotel and Convention Center, Brgy. San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
The 10-day training aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills to become effective trainers, facilitators, and resource persons in implementing the modified season-long farmers’ field school on high-quality inbred rice and seed production and mechanization in their respective locality.
Municipal Mayor Atty. Rey C. Ladaga of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos, M.M., J.D. of ATI-MIMAROPA, and Municipal Agriculturist Rommel Calingasan graced its graduation ceremony.
Ladaga shared.
In his message Mr. Calingasan commended the participants for their full cooperation in the training.
Also, Dir. Barrientos emphasized the importance of knowledge sharing. "As a challenge, kailangan po natin i practice ang ating natutunan. Later on, i transfer natin ang ating kaalaman sa iba. Kayo ang magiging katulong namin sa pagpapaunlad ng ating bansa," he said.
Part of the participants’ requirement to complete the training was their presentation through the microteaching session. Moreover, they were able to prepare their action plan to be implemented on their respective farm and municipality.
The said last batch of TOT ran from July 11-22, 2022.
