BrownBag Session 1 - 2024

To enhance the Center’s presence on its website and social media, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA, through its Information Services Section (ISS), conducted the "Brownbag Session on Writing Content for Websites and Social Media" on March 12, 2024, at ATI MIMAROPA, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

“Mahalaga ang activity na ito, para mahasa ang kakayahan ng staff sa pagsusulat” said by Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos during his opening message. He emphasized that the brown bag session was timely because the Center maintains a website and four social media accounts.

Mr. Erlan D. Pasana, Information Officer II, discussed the topic on article writing. In his lecture, the participants learned various tips for writing a well-structured article for a website, with a particular focus on the content's structure and the key elements of a news article.

Mr. Michael Daven T. Jugno also shared his expertise on creating engaging posts on social media, emphasizing what to post and effective content planning. Moreover, participants learned from his discussion about camera settings for taking photos to ensure high-quality pictures for social media posts.

This activity is part of the staff development program in ATI MIMAROPA, in which ten (10) staff actively participated in the workshop. Each of them submitted a news article about the training implemented at the Center as their output.

Considering the number of programs and activities planned by the ATI MIMAROPA, participants in this session are expected to serve as administrators of the Center's social media accounts, assist the ISS in creating webpage content, and upload posts related to the conducted trainings and activities of the Center.
