Twenty (20) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the province of Occidental Mindoro underwent Specialized Training Course on Training Management for AEWs at Lola’s Healthy Farm, Poblacion, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro.

The said training is geared to produce new Agricultural Extensionists who will be able to conduct and facilitate quality trainings to their stakeholders, particularly farmers and fishers, efficiently and effectively.

This training is a blended one where the participants should be able to complete the online course on Training Management first (please visit the www.e-extension.gov.ph/elearning to access the TM Course) to have a brief idea of what transpires in the world of training followed by a lecture/discussion from a resource person.

As a retired training expert, Mr. Ruben P. Jugno, former Training Center Superintendent of ATI MIMAROPA poured his knowledge and skills on extension delivery by citing his experiences and related circumstances in facilitating an extension activity.

To measure their knowledge and skills, the participants prepared and delivered openers, mid-sessions and enders which are essentials in the conveyance of a topic and/or facilitation of a training. Likewise, they were grouped according to their agency/organization and drafted training design as part of their outputs during workshop. These training designs were presented before the panel for further improvement. In addition, they crafted their action plans to be implemented in their respective organizations.

According to the participants, this kind of training is very useful and of big help to them, especially as new AEWs to transfer the technologies to their clients effectively and efficiently.

Specialized Training Course on Training Management was held on May 17 – 19, 2022.
