Community-Based Swine Production Project

The successful inauguration ceremony of Community-Based Swine Production thru Clustering and Consolidation Project. Said project is in support to the Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) Program under National Livestock Program (NLP). The 5-million worth of project was awarded to Victoria Nature Park Farmers and Employees Agriculture Cooperative (VNPAC) at Brgy. Leido, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.

The activity aims to formally launch as well as to orient the members and other guests on the importance of the project. The ceremony was graced by ATI MIMAROPA Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos, Municipal Mayor of Victoria Hon. Joselito Malabanan, Oriental Mindoro 1st District Representative Cong. Arnan Panaligan, Mr. Osama M. Ellithy of Egyptian-Filipino Farming Corporation, and VNPAC Chairman Ms. Mary Ann Pastrana.

On his message, Dir. Barrientos reiterated the importance of being a cooperative to avail the programs of the government. Moreover, he said that this project will be an avenue to support the local swine industry and to secure a sufficient supply of hogs and pork in the province.

Meanwhile, Ms. Pastrana assured the dedication of the coop members to follow the highest standard on their operation. "Our goal is to take part in helping our community. This project will ensure that our community will be benefited and also our future generation."
