Aiming for advancing the agriculture industry, the ATI MIMAROPA has continued its implementation of Digital Farmers Program 102. DFP 102 is the second course in the three-level DFP program that aims to encourage farmers to utilize technologies in farming. This course particularly focuses on in-depth applications on agriculture and e-commerce and usage of social media and smartphones in boosting their farming productivity.

During activity proper, the participants experienced exploring different agriculture applications and tools such as Rice Doctor and SPIDTECH. Moreover, they crafted their social media marketing plan and social media content such as poster of their products. The participants were also informed on e-commerce platforms such as e-Kadiwa where they could sell and market their produce.

“As a retired teacher and now a proud farmer, I have learned how to use the mobile apps which I knew will be of great help to me, especially the e-Commerce platforms. In today’s world where modern technology is everywhere, using the mobile applications is a must-know skill. I enjoyed exploring different applications and creating my own social media content using Canva”, said Ms. Evangeline M. Lingon, participant from Boac, Marinduque.

Two (2) batches of DFP 102 has been rolled out in the province of Marinduque on October 4-6, 2022 with over 42 farmer and youth participants.
