To assess the Center’s overall performance and plan its 2024 targets, the ATI MIMAROPA conducted its 2023 Annual Review and 2024 Operational Planning Workshop on January 23-26, 2024, at ATI MIMAROPA, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
In his message, Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos congratulated everyone for the successful implementation of the Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) planned by the Center for 2023. Also, he encouraged everyone to give their best in implementing the Center’s 2024 PPAs.
This was followed by a presentation of the 2023 Physical Accomplishments by Ms. Manilyn M. Tejada, Project Evaluation Officer. Highlights of the discussion included the analysis of the date of implementation as well as the comparison of target participants versus the accomplishments of the Center's 2023 PPAs. After her presentation, she reminded all staff of the deadline for submitting reports and other M&E-related issues.
Then, Mr. Mark Joseph D. Buñag, Acting Budget Officer, and Ms. Edna M. Mojica, Acting Accountant, presented the 2023 Financial Accomplishments. Allotment and Obligation Rates, as well as the Disbursement rate per program were discussed during the activity. They also provided updates on the financial concerns based on the recently concluded ATI closing of the book.
Moreover, the different Banner Program Focal Persons presented their 2024 PPAs. Throughout the presentation, each focal person provided basic information such as agricultural statistics and facts, demographics of the target participants, and activities carried out in previous years which served as the basis for their targets. In addition, the objectives and implementation strategies of the target PPAs were explained to ensure the accomplishment of all performance indicators. They also presented remarkable innovations and best practices employed in meeting the 2023 targets.
Furthermore, Mr. Christian Albert R. Sarabia, the designated Human Resource Management Officer, provided updates and reminded the staff of the existing rules and regulations regarding proper attire/office uniform, filing of leave, and time-in and time-out procedures using the biometrics system. He also encouraged all qualified staff to apply for the vacant plantilla positions in the office.
Part of the activity was the team building, which was held at Positadi, Pili, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. The staff were divided into four (4) groups composed of yellow, green, red, and blue teams engaging in various games that encouraged participation from all.
The shared learning opportunity promoted teamwork, communication, and unity among group members, which they would carry into their respective roles. Everyone would assist each other as a family to accomplish all the targets of the center and ensure its success.
