The training started with a discussion on farm planning and budgeting. After the lecture, a workshop on record keeping and accounting was facilitated by the assigned Resource Person (RP). The hands-on activity was appreciated by the participants, and they expressed their gratitude for it will help them in tracking their farm expenses and profit.

Also, the participants were refreshed on the nine (9) Key Checks of Palay Check Systems. Video clips were also played during the discussion to give the participants detailed information on key checks.

Moreover, they were also updated about the four components of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Program such as rice farm mechanization; inbred rice seed development, propagation, and promotion; expanded rice credit assistance; and rice extension services.

Overall, the participants appreciated the RPs from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA for delivering the different topics about rice production. They were also very thankful for the conducive venue of the training.

Malaking karagdagan ito sa amin, na maibabahagi din namin sa aming mga kapwa farmers," Mr. Godofredo U. Rabaya, LFT of San Vicente shared.
