Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos of the Agricultural Training Institute in MIMAROPA was invited as a guest of honor during the 23rd Annual General Assembly Meeting organized by the Bansud Livestock Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC).
In the event, Dir. Barrientos discussed the background, requirements, and components of the 7.5 million Swine Multiplier and Technology Demonstration Farm Project awarded to Bansud Livestock MPC.
Said project with 30 sow-level capacity to be built in Brgy. Burgos, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro is part of the Department of Agriculture (DA) interventions under the Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) of the DA- National Livestock Program to sustain an eligible source of quality hogs that would be available and accessible to the local farmers in the country.
