The search for the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) Batch 2024 is now officially open.

The YFFLTPJ is a partnership  between the Department of Agriculture, and Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC). It aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers to become farmer leaders and empowered agricultural entrepreneurs.

Application is open for MIMAROPA residents only.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Young Filipino farmers preferably a member of 4-H Club in the Philippines, out-of-school youth (OSY), recipients of DA-AMAS Young Farmers Challenge Fund, and graduates of agri-related courses (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering; Bachelor of Science in Fisheries; Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Economics; among others);
  • High school graduate or senior high school graduate, college graduate and/or technical or vocational graduate;
  • Male or female, between 20 to 30 years old, single, and has no live-in partner or child at the time of application;
  • Has existing agricultural land, regardless of size and status of ownership;
  • Has good community standing or moral character certified by the Barangay Captain;
  • Must have at least one (1) year of accumulated farming experience (after high school graduation) at the time of application;
  • Not employed in any job for at least one year at the time of application, certified by the LGU;
  • Has good communication skills and good English proficiency certified by the LGU;
  • Not related to any ATI employee by affinity or consanguinity, for up to 3rd degree certified by the RTC;
  • Can be a son or daughter of a farmer, fisher, or cooperator of the ATI-certified LSA or Farm School;
  • Have no overdue obligations from the ATI at the time of application;
  • Not a recipient of ATI's overseas travel related to an Internship;
  • Willing to learn new technologies and foreign languages certified by the RTC;
  • Must be fully vaccinated (with 3 doses) against COVID-19 at the time of application, including booster shots;
  • A certificate from the doctor of no tattoos and/or piercing in any part of the body, ear piercing is allowed for females; and
  • Medical Certificate with remarks of Fit to Work. Passed the following medical examination, to be done in diagnostic clinics, hospitals, or laboratories accredited by the Department of Health (DOH):
    • Certificate of Good Oral Health from the dentist,
    • chest x-ray for tuberculosis,
    • stool examination for parasites,
    • serological test for syphilis,
    • Certificate of Hansen’s Disease test and Measles and Rubella (MMR) antibody (can be submitted during Regional or National Medical Examination)
    • skin examination for Hepatitis Band HIV or AIDS,
    • Electrocardiogram (ECG) test h) Drug test
    • Electroencephalogram (EEG) test
    • neuro-psychological tests and certification of no history of any mental illnesses certified by the medical expert

  • Personal Information Sheet (Form No. 1);
  • Personal History (Form No. 2);
  • Certificate of Farming Experience and Basic English Knowledge (Form No, 3);
  • Municipal Endorsement Letter signed by the Municipal Agriculturist (Form No. 4);
  • Provincial Selection Committee’s Endorsement (Form No. 5);
  • Certificate of No Overdue Obligations from ATI (Form No.6);
  • Certificate of Commitment to Learn Foreign Language and New Farming Technologies (Form No.7);
  • Regional Selection Committee’s Endorsement (Form No. 8);
  • Letter of Recommendation from the Center Director of ATI-RTC (Form 9)
  • Narrative report during the field validation;
  • Certified true copy of Training Certificates on agriculture and non-agriculture courses;
  • Certification from the last school attended on the educational level attained;
  • Original National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Police Clearance with 1-year validity;
  • Original PSA Birth Certificate and Certificate of Live Birth from the Local Civil Registrar Office;
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN) or ID;
  • Original Philippine Passport valid for at least three (3) years at the time of application; and
  • International Certificate of Vaccination from the Bureau of Quarantine or Digital Vaccination Certificates through VaxcertPH with 3 doses against COVOD-19 at the time of application, including booster shots; and
  • Internship Agreements.
