Information, Education and Communication materials, and other Techno Gabay Program (TGP) services are now available at Municipal Agriculture Office-San Vicente as it has been officially launched by the Agricultural Training Institute MIMAROPA as the 15th Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in Palawan on October 28, 2022.
Vice Mayor Hon. Ramil Pablico graced the activity. He shared, "Ito ang programa na minimithi ng ating mga magsasaka. Nagpapasalamat kami sa pamunuan ng ATI, kahit sa layo ng aming munisipyo ay nakapunta kayo dito para magbigay ng ganitong programa. Ipamahagi natin ang ating kaalaman upang mapakinabangan ng ating mga kababayan."
During the launching, Mr. Erlan D. Pasana, Information Officer II/TGP Point Person discussed the components of TGP, responsibilities of the FITS Center, functions of the FITS staff, and requirements of FITS enhancement.
Also present in the activity were Municipal Agriculture Officer Mr. John Resurrection, Agriculture Specialist Engr. Reniel Rocaberte, Information Officer II Mr. Erlan D. Pasana, Project Development Assistant II Mr. Mark Jayson S. Alcobera, MAO staff, and farmer leaders
"Ang FITS Center ang magiging daan para maipaabot sa ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda ang mga impormasyon at teknolohiya sa agrikultura," Engr. Rocaberte said.
The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of the ICT equipment and materials to the newly established FITS Center such as laptop, photocopying machine, heavy-duty portable speaker, long tables, and chairs.
FITS – San Vicente is the 41st in the MIMAROPA Region.
