The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program is one of the banner programs of the Inter-Agency Task Force Zero Hunger, created under Executive Order No. 101, whose main objective is to help mitigate hunger, ensure food nutrition security, and establish sustainable agriculture by 2030.
As member of the EPAHP – Regional Convergence Team (RCT), ATI MIMAROPA together with other partner-agencies has prepared a program of activities and action plans and drew up common measures to address concerns and challenges affecting the EPAHP Program implementation.
Thus, as planned, the ATI MIMAROPA together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development MIMAROPA conducted four (4) batches of Training on Agricultural Technologies in Support to Urban Agriculture (UA) Program for the poorest of the poor community in Occidental Mindoro, as follows:
November 15 – 17, 2022 Talayub, Nicolas, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro

November 24-45, 2022 Barangay Tres, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro
November 28 - 29, 2022 Municipality of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro
The trainings aim to impart knowledge and enhance the skills of the participants in managing the agricultural projects which will be granted to them. These also helped them increase the vegetable productivity and sufficiency in household needs.
After the training, ATI MIMAROPA provided them UA starter kit for household beneficiaries which includes assorted vegetable seeds, hand sprayer, hand shovel, compost, carbonized rice hull, polyethylene pots and information, education, and communication (IEC) materials. On the other hand, DSWD will be providing livestock (swine, chicken, goat) starter kits worth PhP 15, 000.00 per participant.
A total of 138 participants attended the training.
The said convergence will continue to contribute and come up with innovative solutions to achieve food security, reduce poverty, and end hunger and malnutrition in the region.
