Lemuel Magnaye receives his financial assistance worth P150,000 

Lemuel M. Magnaye received his financial assistance worth P150,000.00 as part of the start-up support of the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program (FYFIP) in Taiwan. Said financial support will be used as capital to finance

his chosen agri-enterprise.

Mr. Magnaye was among the 29 young farmers (Batch 1) who underwent 11-month internship program in Taiwan last 2021 to explore their culture, innovative technologies and best practices in agriculture.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa ATI sa opportunity na makarating at makapag-intern sa Taiwan. Marami po akong natutunan doon, lalo na sa pinili kong agri-enterprise na mushroom farming. Ako po ay nangangako na aking palalaguin pa ang aking kaalaman at isasabuhay ang aking mga natutunan sa Taiwan,” said Mr. Magnaye.

In addition, he said that he started his passion in agriculture when he attended one of the trainings of ATI regarding mushroom production. Since then, he joined various trainings conducted by ATI, Farm Schools and other agencies until he was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of FYFIP.

The check worth P150,000 was awarded by Engr. Cristina P. Intong, 4H and RBO Point Person (R), Mr. Pat Andrew B. Barrientos,  ATI MIMAROPA Center Director (C) with Regional TESDA Director Angelina M. Carreon during the 4th Quarter Regional Technical Education and Development Council Meeting CY 2022 on December 12, 2022 at ATI Hall, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

FYFIP in Taiwan is a joint initiative of the Department of Agriculture (DA) with the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO), with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) as the lead implementing agency.
