To continually harmonize, strengthen, and strategize the delivery of information services in the region, the ATI MIMAROPA through its Information Services Section (ISS) attended the Knowledge Management (KM) Updates on December 6-10, 2022 at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. The activity is done to further improve the Agriculture and Fisheries (AFE) knowledge products and services across the ATI network.
Highlight of the activity was the IS Agri Solutions Pitch which aimed to yield new proposals and innovative ideas in the implementation of IS programs, projects, and activities. Engr. Karen A. Tulay-Vicente, Agriculturist I, presented the pitching paper of ATI MIMAROPA entitled “Enhanced Extension Services through Information System and Digital Technologies”. The proposal generally designs to create a web-based database of all ATI-MIMAROPA’s assisted projects and interventions using geotagging and aerial mapping and embed it in ATI MIMAROPA official website and/or social media account/s.
Moreover, the ATI Central Office recognized the ATI MIMAROPA-ISS for its most notable accomplishment on the implementation of “AgriTalk Program” and information and communication strategies through “Social Media”.
“The more functions we have in the Information Services, means that we are very relevant in our institution”, said OIC-Deputy Director Antonieta J. Arceo on her inspirational message during IS Achievers’ Awards.
