With the aim of enriching the knowledge and skills in implementing and managing agro-enterprise clusters, 34 farmers participated in the Training on Social Preparation for Rice Clusters at DosFourDos Integrated Farm, Brgy. Magsaysay, Aborlan, Palawan on July 16-18, 2024.
The three-day training provided the participants with various lectures on agro-enterprise development, entrepreneurial mindset, and market clustering strategies. The participants also engaged in interactive workshops and role-playing activities for practical insights about value chain mapping, market interviews, and production planning.
Workshops on Agro-enterprise Clustering Approach (AECA) and market chain studies were also conducted to hone their actionable strategies for enhancing farm productivity and market competitiveness. Moreover, collaboration among the participants was fostered as they shared their insights on product marketing and digital integration through group discussions.
As an output, a Cluster Development Plan (CDP) was developed by the participants. They were grouped according to their municipalities and associations to plan appropriately based on the needs of their respective localities.
