The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA conducted the 12-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Farm Business School (FBS) for Rice-Based Enterprises at DosFourDos Integrated Farm, Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Aborlan, Palawan, on October 14-October 25, 2024.
Valuable learnings and insights crucial for enhancing agricultural practices were provided to the participants to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to improve their farm management practices. They received lectures that emphasized the importance of sustainable practices to boost farm productivity without compromising the natural resources, the need for effective communication skills, and financial literacy to help them manage g their finances more effectively.
The TOT also enabled the participants to collaborate with their fellow trainers to identify common challenges and innovative solutions tailored to the needs of their respective farms.
As their output, participants prepared, presented, and submitted their proposed farm business plan and action plans.
"I have gained knowledge and acquired additional information on Farm Business School initiatives, as well as knowledge on benchmarking and market surveys. I also gained an understanding of the importance of content usage in creating a business plan. This training will help our organization reach the farming community through FBS initiatives and training," said Ms. Agnes B. Del Mundo, farm-in-charge of ECLOF Nature and Organic Farm.
