Twelve students from the Porfirio G. Comia Memorial National High School successfully graduated from its 10-day immersion program from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA on February 10, 2025.
Composed of 11 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) and one Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) students, they had their lectures and hands-on training on organic agriculture practices from January 27 - February 8, 2025. Throughout their immersion, the students were actively engaged in lectures and hands-on activities in organic agriculture, including the production of organic concoctions, organic fertilizers, and cultural management of vegetables and livestock.
In his congratulatory message, Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos shared several opportunities with the students, including scholarships and future careers that await them if they continue to pursue a path in agriculture.
“Remember every small seed you plant today has the potential to grow into something extraordinary. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep making a difference,” he said.
Among the guests were Ms. Annabelle A. Genteroy, Head Teacher IV/Assistant Principal, and Mr. Kurt John A. Encisa, Teacher II.
“Lubos po ako nagpapasalamat sa mga natutunan at mga good memories dito sa immersion. Hindi po namin malilimutan kahit minsan nakakapagod, malaking tulong naman po ito sa amin,” Maria Claress D. Abaero shared.
