In pursuit of its mandate as the capacity builder, knowledge bank, and catalyst of the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Extension (AFE) System, the ATI Bicol continuously implements responsive extension programs and projects geared towards improving the lives of the farmers, fisherfolks, and other stakeholders in agriculture.

The key is operationalizing the strategies in which operational planning provides specific direction, encourages focus, and aligns people with the Center’s overall strategic goals. Operational planning ensures that personnel function like a well-oiled machine throughout the year.

Hence, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center V (ATI Bicol) conducted an Operational Planning Workshop last January 16-17, 2023, at the ATI Dormitory and Training Hall in Brgy. San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur. It involves the presentation of 2023 Work and Financial plans (WFPs), the designation of roles and responsibilities, the distribution of targets, and the scheduling of activities,

ATI Bicol Planning Officer II Emmanuel L. Orogo acknowledged the activity participants. They are from different sections, namely, the Information Services Section (ISS), Partnerships and Accreditation Services Section (PASS), Career Development Management Services Section (CDMS), Admin and Finance Unit (AFU), Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) and Office Center Director (OCD). He presented the activity overview and the objectives for the Operational Planning Workshop.

 ATI Bicol Center Director. Elsa A. Parot shared her opening message and presented the Policy Directions for Fiscal Year 2023. Afterward, all Section Chiefs and point persons presented their work and financial plans.

On the second day, other matters were discussed. These are the Monitoring and Evaluation reports presented by Project Evaluation Officer Roberto Santos, Jr.; Administration and Finance Office matters by General Service Unit Head Melba SM. Bonafe;  Bidding and Awards Committee updates by BAC Head and Information Section Chief Primalou Imperial; and the ISO Surveillance Audit preparations by Internal Quality Team leader and Information Officer Mr. Isagani Valenzuela, Jr.

Workshops were also held for the completion of the Division Performance Review and  Commitment (DPCR)and Individual Performance Commitment and Review IPCR (IPCR) forms and DPCR and the finalization of the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP).
