CAMALIG, Albay — Equipping the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund _ Learning Sites for Agriculture (RCEF-LSAs) trainers with knowledge and skills on smart agricultural technologies and digital tools, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 5 (ATI Bicol) conducted Training of Trainers on Digital Agriculture Course (DAC) for RCEF-LSAs Batch 2 on October 8-10, 2024 at On Due Travelers Inn, Camalig, Albay. This is in collaboration with Smart Communications, Inc. and Digital Agriculture Innovation Center of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA).
The 3-day training was designed to discuss DAC toolkit and modules, demonstrate agricultural applications and explain social media marketing.
CBSUA Staff Karlos Miguel Haber, DAC graduate Lindy Grace Ala, and Media Production Specialist II Christian T.R. served as resource persons during the training.
The participants developed social media posters by using Canva and social media marketing plans. They submitted re-entry plans that need to be taken/cascaded to their respective farm schools, areas or communities. Also, they conducted demo back sessions as preparation in becoming DAC trainers.
The ATI and other Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Extension Service Program (RCEF-RESP) implementing agencies are conducting DAC to capacitate RCEF Farm Schools in implementing digital literacy training for farmers.
