DA-ATI Bicol, Naga City Ink MOA on Techno-Gabay Program

NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur- The DA-ATI has forged a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Naga City government to institutionalize the Techno-Gabay program in the city, particularly the establishment of the Farmers Information and Technology Service (FITS) Center.

Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion and DA-ATI Bicol Information Officer II Michael Villezar signed the MOA. Mr. Villezar represented Center Director Elsa Parot, who was on official business.

Aside from the MOA signing, DA-ATI Bicol also turned over ICT equipment for the FITS Center. These include 32-inch android television, a portable speaker, an all-in-one personal computer, a 3-in-1 printer, a projector with screen and information, and an education and communication (IEC) rack.

OIC City Agriculturist Francisco Mendoza, Naga City Agriculture Technician Alvin Alvaro, ATI Bicol Information officer II Isagani Valenzuela, Jr, and Media Specialist II Christian Tosoc were also present during the activity, which coincided with the ongoing event, The Farmers Forum, which showcases the products and technologies of the local farmers.

Mayor Legacion hailed the agreement as a manifestation of support for the city’s agricultural productivity program. On the other hand, ATI Bicol vows to involve the city in its training and extension services.

The MOA signing and equipment turnover were held at the Naga City People’s Hall, City Hall Complex, Naga City, last December 14, 2022.
