PILI, Camarines Sur- The DA-ATI throws its full support to the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, an advocacy campaign observed annually from November 25 to December 12 as mandated by Proclamation 1172 s. 2006. The annual observance is meant to raise awareness and ignite action for protecting the human rights of women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence.

This year’s theme is “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines.” The theme highlights the powerful impact of combining individual efforts towards a collaborative and united thrust toward a VAW-free Philippines.

For its part, the DA-ATI Bicol hosted a webinar, ‘End Violence Against Women (VAW).’ Police Major Maria Victoria Abalaing, the spokesperson of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, served as the resource person. The webinar was streamed live over the ATI Bicol Sarabay Channel Facebook page and YouTube channel.

In addition, all DA-ATI Bicol employees show solidarity with the campaign by wearing a themed advocacy shirt every Monday beginning November 28 until December 12, 2022.
