Nine OJT students from Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) completed 240 hours of On the Job Training (OJT) at #ATIBICOL. The students stayed at ATIBICOL for one-month performing various field and administrative works. They attended a series of lecture/discussion and participated in hands-on agricultural activities

The OJT culminating activity was graced by Assistant Center Director Vivien V. Carable, DEBESMSCAT Coordinator Ezra Servilla, ATIng UMA Farm manager Jerico Sandagon, and RCEF Technical Staff Jobenel Dela Torre.

During the expression of learnings and insights by OJT students, Ms. Jessica Orbase shared that she “learned that OJT is not just a requirement to be completed but it is an opportunity to show your talent and skills.” Mr. Jhay Perida added that “ATI is really the right venue for learning.” Mr. Eddie Alvarez also shared his written poem entitled “ATI, ang Tahanan na ATIng babalik-balikan” and Mr. Junil Torres spoke in behalf of the nine OJT students saying “A million thanks to ATI for this once in a lifetime opportunity.”

At the end of the activity, Assistant Center Director Vivien Carable imparted an advice to the graduates from Martin Luther King Jr. “If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But by all means, keep moving forward.”
