"CAPABLE OF DOING POSSIBLE THINGS"

Eighteen (18) farmer participants attended in the HANDICRAFTS TRAINING FOR FARMERS WITH PHYSICAL (ORTHOPEDIC) DISABILITY at Isarog Hall, ATI RTC V, Diversion Road, San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur on December 12-14, 2022.

During the 3-day workshop, participants have demonstrated their capability to process selected fibers into various handicrafts that can be marketed in their local area. The training outputs were improved competencies of farmer-leaders on various types of fiber, identified strategies in handicrafts production and boosted their personalities to train co-PWD on handicrafts production.

Throughout the program, Ms. Maria Teresa R. Arabaca served as the resource person and shared techniques with the participants to help them develop their knowledge, abilities, and attitudes related to handicrafts.

ATI Bicols' Training Center Superintendent I, Ms. Vivien Carable, who gave the closing remarks, Ms. Regina Carla R. Padre, who gave the response for the training, and guests from the Pili PWD Federation, including Mr. Franklyn Ricafort, the organization's president, were present during the closing program.

As part of the outputs of the workshop, participants made Christmas lanterns, bracelet rosaries, paper trays, and lotus flowers out of recycled materials. This captures the skilled participants in handicrafts training, which they will utilize as they communicate what they learned in the program with the organization and the community.
