The Agricultural Training Institute(ATI) as the lead agency in implementing the 4H Club Youth Development Program, is mandated to empower the youth and continuously provide capability-building programs and other extension support. Thus, Leaders of the 4H clubs are selected to represent their organizations in the community, ensuring participation in policy formulation and implementation of agricultural development programs intended for its members. However, the success of agricultural development through the 4H organization is highly reliant on the involvement of its members and their respective commitment to the shared vision of the 4H Club (effective, constructive, and efficient extension services provided by different government agencies). Therefore, the accomplishment of this mission is based on three principal functions, consultation, information, and training of leaders.
For the past two years since the pandemic, 4H club activities were temporarily suspended, thus affecting the organization’s productivity and accomplishment in the Region. This training workshop is a package of various topics and activities which aims to reinvigorate the organization of the newly elected provincial officers from the six (6) Bicol provinces. The training helps enhance their leadership and organizational management skills and motivates them to work together thru team-building activities. The activity also serves as a venue for the regional officers to formulate strategic plans, review the organization’s constitution and bylaws and elect a new set of officers at the regional level.
The training was participated by a total of fifty (50) participants composed of five (5) 4H Club Provincial Officers from each of the provinces, Provincial Coordinators, and Volunteer Leaders.
