PILI, Camarines Sur – “Continue on igniting and inspiring ourselves, for us to improve.” With these words, ATI Bicol Center Director Elsa Parot voiced the celebratory energy among the staff after a productive eight-hour audit of its training and extension services.
Mr. Xavier Lance Dy, TUV SUD Auditor and Head of Operations, conducted the surveillance audit – the Center’s second since its certification. Mr. Dante Esguerra, ATI Quality Management Representative, also took part in the on-site audit.
Together with ATI-Central Visayas, ATI Bicol is the first ATI Regional Training Center to be ISO-audited this year. It is also one of the five RTCs to undergo face-to-face surveillance audit this year, while the rest opted for remote audit.

“Face-to-face is a better way to get the most benefit out of the audit,” clarified Mr. Dy during the opening meeting. “This is a product of your effort.”
The audit methodology included random sampling, interviews and open discussion, checking of documents and records, observation of actual implementation, trailing of interconnected operations, and note-taking.
Next year, ATI is planning to upgrade its certification to include environmental management, explained Mr. Esguerra, who was formerly Center Director of ATI-Davao Region.
