MASBATE — The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center V (ATI Bicol) conducted  SaGoat Kita: Poor Man's Cow in a Millionaire's Program-Batch 3 (Training on Goat Production and Management) on April 16-18, 2024 in the Province of Masbate.

Participants of the training were recipients of the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 5 Goat-Related Projects and ATI Certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Cooperators.

The training aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of goat raisers to produce quality goats fit for breeding and consumption.

Participants were exposed to husbandry practices held at the DA-RFO 5 Masbate Center for Livestock Development (MCLD) located in Barangay Asid, Masbate City.

Experts from DA-RFO 5, Masbate-Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and accredited FLS-GEM Facilitators served as resource persons for the three-day training program.

This project is in support to the Small Ruminant Industry under the National Livestock Program of the Department of Agriculture.
