We conducted the “AgriTalk in Digital Agriculture: BayANIng Magsasaka” via Facebook and YouTube on April 30, 2021.
One of our featured farmers, Mr. Carlito Aquino, is owner and manager of the Salvador and Emeteria Farm in Ocampo, Camarines Sur, an ATI-certified Learning Site for Agriculture. He describes himself simply as a farmer’s son. A retired military man, Mr. Aquino is now fighting poverty as a farmer and trainer in agriculture. In growing crops and raising farm animals, he feels keenly the negative impacts of climate change. To counter these, he innovates in his farming practice and diversifies his produce. ‘I was not made to surrender,’ he said.
