The San Carlos City 4H Clubs Inc. in San Carlos City, Pangasinan paid a courtesy visit to ATI Ilocos Region on August 9, 2022 as they presented their received award as the Most Outstanding Youth Social Enterprise from the Villar Sipag Foundation during the 5th Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) Youth Poverty Reduction Challenge.
During their visit at the Center, ATI-RTC 1 Director Rogelio C. Evangelista personally congratulated the team for bringing home an award and giving prize for the 4H club organizations in region 1. Dr. Evangelista also mentioned that the Center will continue initiate endeavors to nurture and empower youth in agriculture.
The plaque of award and check amounting to 150,000.00 were personally received by the officers and members of the club, accompanied by the City Agriculturist of San Carlos-Ms. Estrellite B. Jacaban and 4H Club Coordinator-Mr. Wilson M. Castro, on August 5, 2022 at Villar Sipag Events Hall, C5 Extension, Las Piñas City.
According to the officers of the 4H Club, the cash award will be used to fund their future projects that will generate income for the organization and its members.
The Villar SIPAG Awards-Youth Poverty Reduction Challenge is a competition among the Filipino youth whose social enterprise can contribute in alleviating the poverty situation in their respective communities.
