Introducing the youth to explore agricultural and fishery knowledge through the digital way, the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 (DA-ATI-RTC 1) held an orientation about e-learning to its newly welcomed On-the-Job Trainees from the International Colleges for Excellence, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
Ten (10) students were oriented about the e-extension program and its components, specifically the e-learning. It was demonstrated to them the procedure to create an e-learning account and enroll an e-learning course.
The students started their first course today, January 10, 2024, and they are encouraged to take more courses for them to become aware and knowledgeable about various agricultural, fishery, and social technologies. Each step of the student-interns in taking e-learning courses is being guided by technical experts from the DA-ATI-RTC 1 to assist them in fully understanding the course.
The awarding of e-learning certificates of completion will be held on the last day of the student's internship scheduled on January 22.
Indeed, the e-learning program of the Institute is one of its modalities to encourage the youth to engage in agriculture while maintaining their interest in digital platforms.
