Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), represented by Sharon B. Bitso and Crizele Luciano, members of the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) from Tuba and La Trinidad, Benguet bagged first prize and Special Award: Best Dessert at the "Taste of Rural Flavors" Cook-Off, held in celebration of Filipino Food Month (FFM) hosted by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Central Office at the ATI Grounds, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City. Their traditional dishes, Inakbot jen Kinuday with Taro and Four Seasons Sweet and Sour Delicacy, earned an average score of 92.83%, securing first place in the competition.

Alongside Region CAR is Cagayan Valley (Region II), with 88.17%, which placed second, while Ilocos Region (Region I) garnered 87.67%, securing third place.
The Taste of the Rural Flavors Cook-Off is a cooking contest featuring the participation of the RIC of the Philippines which is a significant aspect of ATI's celebration of the Buwan Ng Kalutong Pilipino or FFM with this year's theme: "Sarap ng Pagkaing Pilipino, Yaman ng Ating Kasaysayan Kultura at Pagkatao", which is being celebrated every April under the Presidential No. 469.
