The PAFES Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) secretariat convened its provincial actors for a meeting on June 11, 2024 at the Damuh-han hall, ATI-RTC-CAR, BSU Compd., La Trinidad, Benguet. This is to ensure that all activities and updates are coordinated and planned despite the delay of fund transfer.
Ms. Mae Kio-isen, Agriculturist II of DA-RFO-CAR presented the liquidation report for CY 2023. This was also to review the amount of reverted PAFES fund by each province which is aimed to be reduced this CY 2024. She also informed the secretariat regarding the status of requirements for PAFES fund wherein all provinces had already submitted except for Abra which has to provide their MOA. The provincial allocation and the trainings and activities of PAFES were also reviewed. Β
For the provinces to implement its extension interventions for CY 2024, the body affirmed that the awarding of checks be set on June 24-28, 2024 with Benguet province setting the first day followed by Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga and Apayao. Β
Mr. Maximino R. Aromin, Jr., Assistant Training Center Director, and the PAFES Focal discussed the criteria of performance ranking, as the basis for the fair distribution of funds.
Each province also reported its provincial initiatives and PAFEC Activities. To cope with the late downloading of funds which affected their implementation, each province came up with a work plan on how to carry out the extension interventions once the funds were received.
