The Closing Program for the Internship Program of the CLSU Interns was graced by Jam Balingan, Head of the Career and Development Management Services Section (CDMS) of ATI-CAR, where she acknowledged the attendees and presented the overview of the activity.

The said activity aims not just to give tribute and express gratitude for the service and assistance that the interns provided but also as a learning session for both staff and interns through their feedback and observations.

Meanwhile, the interns presented and shared their learnings, observations, and accomplishments during their stay at ATI-CAR.

During the program, section and unit heads also provided feedback to the interns.

Consequently, Randy Soriano from CDMS highlighted a message about understanding the dynamics of an extension worker to which the interns were exposed.

โ€œExtension is multidisciplinary, in a sense that it is not just about the science regarding agriculture, but it also includes yung ating social sciences na pinapa-learn natin during trainings,โ€ Soriano expressed.

In addition, Ju-mark Pagaduan, Major Practice Coordinator of CLSU, imparted a message on the realities of being an extension worker that students should understand and be equipped with.ย

"Reminder na ang mga magiging clients natin outside ay very diverse, and as an extension worker, alam nating i-handle yung mga ganoong things and experiences which eventually yung heart natin as development worker is nagiging-compassionate tayo sa farmers" Pagaduan shared.

Hence, Pagaduan shares that CLSU is looking forward to more internship engagement and other partnership activities to equip such students as part of the extension service for the country's agricultural industry.

Furthermore, on behalf of the Center Director of ATI-CAR, Maximino Aromin Jr. expresses the heartfelt gratitude of the ATI staff to the interns who rendered their talents, skills and dedication to contribute and assist during the technical and admin tasks they had done for the last month and a half.

The said exit conference was held at the ATI-RTC-CAR Canteen on April 11, 2024.
