Twenty-One Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) coming from various Local Government Units of the Cordillera were updated on Palay Check System with Emphasis on Integrated Nutrient Management System conducted at ATI-RTC-CAR, BSU Compd., La Trinidad, Benguet on April 24-28, 2023.

The main objective of the training aims that participants should be able to explain and deliver the updated version of the PalayCheck System and integrate nutrient management in rice production to their respective farmer clients.

“First of all, thank you ATI for this training because I have learned a lot about rice production. Actually, I am under the HVCD Program but also assisting in the Rice Program so this training is very relevant to me especially since I am just a new Extension Worker. I can say that all the topics shared by the resource persons can help me as I continue to help also the farmers in our locality,” said Darell M. Cunning, Agricultural Extension Worker of MLGU-Besao.

Through the years, the PalayCheck System for rice production underwent review and update through the efforts of scientists, researchers, and farmer partners.

The training was conducted in preparation for the conduct of FFSs in their respective area of operation for CY 2024.
