The Agricultural Training Institute through the Partnership and Accreditation Section offered its technical assistance and assisted the JAEC Seminar and Hand-on Demonstration on Farmers Improvement of Vegetable Packing and Shipping (FIVPS) in Kibungan, Benguet on April 17, 2024.
Mr. Perla Epie, DMO I, took the responsibility and facilitated the activity ensuring that each session ran smoothly. This included introducing speakers, guiding the discussion, and keeping the audience throughout the event.
During the seminar, she provided translation services, bridging the language gap between the local dialects and English, particularly for the Japanese speakers. This ensured that all participants could fully comprehend and understand the content that was presented to them. With this strategy, participants were engaged and actively participated in the discussions. Through accurate translation, she facilitated meaningful exchanges of knowledge and experiences between the different cultural backgrounds.
Also, she participated in the hands-on training sessions focusing on practical techniques for vegetable packing and shipping.
After the training, she accompanied the JAEC Staff on their project monitoring activities in Madaymen, Kibungan, Benguet. This involved visiting agricultural sites, assessing progress, and providing feedback on implementation strategies.
