The Agricultural Training Institute in the Cordillera kicks off the year through Operational Planning to guide how the plans and budget for the year 2024 operationalize. The activity was spearheaded by the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) headed by Ms. Brandy L. Banda-ay at the Aspulan Hall, ATI-RTC-CAR, BSU Compd., La Trinidad, Benguet on January 22-24, 2024.

The objective of the activity aimed to guide the operation of Plans and Budget for the year 2024 and to present the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 interventions.

Part in parcel of the planning, was the review of the Center’s performance for CY 2023 along with the five thematic areas such as Thematic Area 1: LEARN (Strengthening Competency and Competitiveness through Capability Building); Thematic Area 2: EXHIBIT (Modeling Technologies, Best Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Practices and Innovations); Thematic Area 3: ADVISE (Empowering Farmers and Fisherfolk through Advisory Services); Thematic Area 4: DISSEMINATE (Enhancing Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Knowledge Products and Services); and Thematic Area 5: Improving Enabling Environment and Governance for Agriculture and Fisheries Extension. All focal persons of various banner programs presented the physical and financial performance with analysis.

The plans and budget for FY 2025 were also presented. FY 2025 plans and budget had been a product of intensive planning and consultations both at the regional and national levels to ensure that identified extension interventions are innovative, responsive to the needs of clients, and adhere to the priorities of the agency.

Part of the planning activity is the setting and enhancement of the project procurement management plan (PPMP). Every focal person needs to develop their own PPMP’s for them to effectively and efficiently utilize their limited financial resources, and how the funds were allocated if this conforms with the AFE cost standards.

The last activity was the accomplishment of the Individual’s Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) rating for semester 2 of 2023.
